Gaea hand dyes & sews each veil with high quality Chinese Silk. She also creates PANEL SKIRTS, CAPES, FLAGS, RIBBONS, and custom creations to suit your imagination!

My favorites are rectangular polygons with tails & half circles. What are yours?

WEIGHTED VEILS
My specialty “weighted veil” is weighted in one corner. I create both weighted, double weighted, and unweighted veils.  

COLORS
I use ancient Japanese Shibori dyeing methods, innovative silk painting, and creative artistic techniques coupled with high quality natural or acid dyes to achieve all colors. View the dye chart here & let me know what color(s) you fancy.

PATTERNS

  • starburst, sworl, moons, spirals, or lightning bolts.

  • water or rivers, nightsky constellations, nebula, clouds, flames.

  • 2-6 tone variagated ombre (+5 per color)

  • Flat or striated with natural dye bath nuances to catch the light

WEIGHT OF FABRIC

  • My silk fabrics comes in 2 weights:

    • 5 momme -- ultralightweight, super sheer, ethereal, airy, wafty, transparent, delicate.   example video here 

    • 8 momme - lightweight, buttery, semi-sheer, brighter colors, sturdier, holds up longer over time.    example video here
