This style of ‘flow prop’ is designed to get you out of your head and into your body by enveloping both dancer and viewers in high quality Chinese silk. It is accessible to beginners, yet offers complexity for years and years of devoted explorations & refinement. The weighted edge ‘leads’ the rest of the veil, offering more direction than just a silk veil itself. A whole flow-losophy has emerged out of Gaea’s experience with this prop, and she teaches online via classes & tours sharing it. Size (approx) : 108in x 45in / half circle shape
Movement : the long rounded edge of this medium sized flutters like a petal, a sea creature, a wing. It is perfect as a skirt, a panel skirt, a cape (front or back, or side), a head wrap, or more… It’s rounded shape means you’ll step on it less, and the shape throws big. Great for small or large spaces, thisshape is a favorite (and try it with 2 at a time, in each hand or the same, if you dare :) )
