Custom Weighted Silk Veil

from $165.00

Let’s create you a custom order! What’s your fancy? Read on to know your options or look at my Silk Imagery Archive & Past Creations.

Colors:

  • I use ancient Japanese Shibori dyeing methods, innovative silk dipping, ice dye, and creative artistic techniques coupled with high quality natural or acid dyes to achieve all colors.

  • View the dye chart here & let me know what color(s) you fancy.

  • For a close/exact match you’ll need to send me a fabric swatch!

Pattern Inspiration Ideas:

  • starburst, sworl, moons, spirals, or lightning bolts.

  • water or rivers, night sky constellations, nebula, clouds, flames.

  • 2-6 tone variagated ombre (+$10ish per color)

  • Flat or striated with natural dye bath nuances to catch the light

  • complex patterns (galaxy/night sky, specific spirals or shapes, etc..) $25 extra

Weight of Fabric:

  • 5 momme -- ultralightweight, super sheer, ethereal, airy, wafty, transparent, delicate. example video here

  • 8 momme - lightweight, buttery, semi-sheer, brighter colors, sturdier, holds up longer over time. example video here

Shape:

  • Tail: is diagonal cut that makes it get less tangled and flows less angularly.

  • Half Circle: flows & flutters . weighted on the straight edge OR the circle edge for a panel skirt.

  • Rectangular : a little heaftier and more coverage for costumes.

  • Rhomboid: get weird..

  • wings:

  • etc…….

Size:

  • Large : 7-9ft x 55 or 45in Video: Full-Size : Variations & Options

  • Medium : 5.5-7ft x 55 or 45in Video: Medium & Smaller

  • Small : 3-5ft x 55 or 45in —humans less than 5’5” or so may want a shorter 45inch wide veil. please note this in your form at the end! this size is a bit easier to manage even if you’re tall.
