From Serpentine to Becoming Light

My art pieces reflect where I’m at in my life.

whether I am aware of it or not, the process of transformation is alive within me… and as I create authentically it comes OUT in my art. I can tell when I make pieces just to get “booked” and I can tell when I make pieces that FEEL like pieces of my soul.

Neither is bad or wrong - entertainment is an INDUSTRY, you know :)

A few days ago I checked an instagram message from Ed Barnas, a photographer I met at BHoF in 2016… and I found a whole ALBUM of photos I hadn’t seen from my serpentine act in Vegas from 2023!!

The same day, I received my Queen Step Down photos from Becoming Light from the New Orleans Teaser Fest.

And it got me to thinking about how many skins I’ve shed, how intense and raw and real I felt in making this huge change to sailboat life… and how I feel different now. centered. grounded. and able to shine my light more authentically than ever. And I truly attribute it to HOW much work I put into shedding layers all those years ago.

So, how do you meter your life progress? What do you do to find and note your magic as it shifts? enjoy every moment, my friends… Life is so fleeting and YOU are so important. Make art about it, don’t be shy to do the hard things, and find your bravery to do what matters to YOU.
