Shine Your Light
You are a bright being of energy.
Your essence is an ignited flame - an eternal soul fire that burns with BEing. This divine spark animates your human vessel, and shines your unique brightness into the world, merging with the other brightnesses to create the tapestry of life.
As part of the ever spiral, your flame may oscillate in brightness or dimness.
Notice when your inner flame feels small... tenuous... flickering. With time, attention, and fuel you can grow this flame - this zest for life - into a bright, hot fire. Add fuel, burn bright. And remember that eventually each big bonfire burns down into a glowing pile of beautifully sparkling embers - the hottest part of the fire itself. These coals can ignite more kindling easily into another flickering fire - sharing the inspiration of being from one soul to another.
Vacillating from a tiny candle to a raging bonfire, our flames reflect our transformative nature. Shining our lights always shows the duality of light and shadow- both are wholly necessary to embrace for existence.
We do not shine in order to diminish another, but add our lights to the other to shine brighter together.
Our unique brilliance reflects full spectrums of light, filled with more colors and variations than our physical eyes can see. Shine your light.
Care for your inner flame by clearing out stagnant emotions, past stories, fears, and doubts. Sometimes a bit of fuel, polish, and cleaning out choking ash is all needed to create a thriving & dancing flame. When needed, reignite your fire with a coal from another blazing soul, so you may in turn spark other’s fires & illuminate the path for others.
Our brightnesses create brilliance to enact our burning desires of love in this world.

As I muse on how fire dancing transforms, I see that dancing with fire has helped me to shine my own brightness into the world in a really big and beautiful way. It helps me be present, stay confident in myself, and polish my inner being by burning away the dross, so I may be a clear channel to shine bright and inspire others. It helps me communicate, deeply listen to myself and my needs, and ask for what I need and desire to be a better human.
Can you ask for what you need?
Asking for something or receiving from others is a deeply vulnerable act, and vulnerability can feel uncomfortable.
I have dedicated serious time, energy, and study to learn to be vulnerable and open my heart and voice easefully. I set my energies to share what I have learned by holding spaces where others can be themselves and belong.
Being comfortable is in the details; from menu planning, to workshops that build on each other, to the thought I put into each ritual and dance, to the language I use, these support sustained gatherings dedicated to the practice of firedancing and the nourishing of self love. Most importantly to me, these retreats are safe and accepting spaces in which people find connection and belonging.

Shine Your Light is an Ignite Fire Keeper Retreat Dec 1-6, 2021. This retreat experience of brightness and fire with Kiki & Gaea Lady iseld on the US Virgin Island of St. Croix in the Caribbean. We design this retreat to be nourishing and intimate, to replenish and rejuvenate your soul. All are welcome, beginners to advanced performers to belong together in supportive community and adventure into fire dancing as a ritual and sacred practice. Read more here.
