Burlesque Act Development Workshop

Burlesque Act Development Class

Want to make an act? Have a vision & want to actualize it? Bring your performance concepts, ideas & artistic desires into fruition through a 3 week/ 5 class/ 1 performance opportunity with Gaea Lady.  This experience is designed to give you the tools to distill ideas, integrate costume-choreography-concept-music, build a piece, & present your act in a compressed period of time to keep your ideas flowing & your inspiration burning.  A low-pressure performance opportunity will be crafted to share with your friends & community at the end of the workshop on Jan 21.

This class will encourage students to express concept through performance with a meaningful and concise intention – creating burlesque that is fulfilling to both performer and audience. Through looking at a wide range of performance styles & concepts this class will open you to the immense possibilities of expression.   Students are suggested to have some background or training in any mode of performance already – though not required.

(bonus !  January Eco studio time available at eco for $5/hour for students)

Gaea has been performing since the age of 5 and is passionate about sharing her performance art built with intention and artistic concept with others!  She has been teaching since a young age and strives to guide and share information collected & integrated throughout her lifetime to build richness, community, and meaningful experience.   Read below for a bit more about her.
